In 2024 we passed a resolution to include a Recreational Membership to our bylaws. Thanks to everyone who supported this endeavour and voted it in.

The membership fee is $150 / year and the member will be able to paddle on Wednesday Recreational Paddles, along with Alumni and current team members.

To launch this new membership, we’re going ‘by invitation only’ in 2024 as we work out the kinks in this new membership type. Eventually we hope to advertise this on our website.

Th recreational paddle crew (alumni, new rec paddlers and existing members) will help champion our new Dragon Boat Experience paddles for SD43 school student groups. A very important team fundraiser.

If you know someone who may want to become a Recreational Member of our team, please have them email nothindragonmasters@gmail.com to with “Recreational Membership” in the subject line to express interest and advise on who invited them. You can also email our team address and CC this person whom you’ve invited. Our team secretary will provide them our application form. The fee for this membership type is $150 a year.

Thanks to our our Recreational Paddle manager Michele Joel at michelej312@hotmail.com OR assistant manager, Bev McKenna at mckenna7@telus.net who will be greeting the newbies on Wednesdays, providing them with paddles and PFDs if needed and helping them feel welcomed and informed.
