The Inlet Spring Regatta is an annual dragon boat race owned and operated by Nothin’ Dragon Paddling Society. The event is held each April on Burrard Inlet in the City of Port Moody at Rocky Point Park. It features 200m races in BUK boats and attracts teams from throughout BC. Inlet Regatta is the first dragon boat event of the season in Canada and features live music, a DJ, food trucks, vendors, and a Yellow Dog sponsored beer garden.
We acknowledge that we host this event on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically, the shared traditional territories of the səl̓ilw̓ət (Tsleil-Waututh), q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), qʼʷa:n̓ ƛʼən̓ (Kwantlen), qiqéyt (Qayqayt), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō (Sto:lo) and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nations who have resided here for thousands of years.

Nothin’ Dragon is an energetic group of senior men and women who strive to achieve excellence in physical fitness by participating in competitive and recreational dragon boating. The club was formed in 1998 and is a motivated group that enjoys an active lifestyle in a friendly, supportive team setting and contributes to the community by sponsoring, encouraging, and mentoring youth in various programs. In 2022, the Nothin’ Dragon Paddling Society was formed. This group is a force that sees potential in every stroke of the paddle.
The inaugural Inlet Spring Regatta in 2018 commemorated the team’s 20th year. Nothin’ Dragon is looking forward to welcoming you at the next edition as they celebrate 28 years as a team!
