Nothin’ Dragon’s Oktoberfest fundraiser held on Oct. 21 at the Old Mill Boathouse was a great time with lots of food, music, and dancing, and included a fun photo op. This was the second time the event was held, with the first in 2019.
We were happy to see many people dressing in the Oktoberfest theme as well. Thanks to our roving team shutterbug, Jola, more pictures have been posted on the team's Facebook page where you can also see videos of the dance moves and fun outfits. Thank you DJ Fox for the lively music!
Our fundraising manager, Sandra sends a big thank you to members of the team who volunteered to bring in the sound system and supply bins, helped to move food and beverages upstairs, set up tables, chairs and decorations, and came early to help prepare platters of food and set up the bar. To those who helped serve drinks and sell tickets, wash dishes, kept tables cleared through the night and helped put it all away at the end. It couldn’t have been done without your efforts.
We’re pleased to say it was a successful event and we’re proud that our newbies were well-represented in the member ticket sales!
