We’re excited to be entering a mixed team for the Penticton Dragon Boat Festival on September 11 and 12. Coach Kris will be one of the men sitting in the boat with us!
This is a team favourite and a great location for building team spirit.
We’re super excited to be racing again and have been training since July.
Stay tuned to our Facebook page, where we’ll be posting updates throughout the weekend.
Annual Safety Session 1 (Evening Session)
From 2016, Charlie explains proper fit of a PFD (life vest) and the importance thereof.
Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility!
Team members are expected to participate in a “mock capsize” to practice the correct and safe procedures during this type of situation should it occur.
Life jackets will be checked for proper fit and everyone should practice swimming with their life jackets to be sure of the proper fit.
At present, we have two pool sessions booked and would encourage everyone to make a concerted effort to attend one of these sessions.
Paddlers are expected to do the safety training, especially if it has been more than 5 years since their last safety session.
We will meet in the deep-end dive tank area.
What to wear:
Summer paddling clothes and not bathing suits (may be worn underneath) and bring your own PFDs.
The doodle link for sign up is in the members only section. Please sign up before Feb. 11.
